About John Morton
For as long as I can remember, golf has been an integral part of my life. Growing up in Pennsylvania learning the game from my father, I had a love for golf from the first time I held a club. I am a proud Class-A PGA Golf Professional - originally as a club professional before turning my focus to the history of the game. During my time as a club professional, I was fortunate to work at prestigious clubs such as Pinehurst Resort, TPC Sawgrass, The Broadmoor Resort, and more.

Though I may no longer be a "green-grass" club pro, my love for the game has never been stronger... with my focus and appreciation over the past 10 years being redirected to the history of the game...

Preserving it.
Collecting it.
Sharing its stories.
Bringing the history of the game to life.

That is what Auld Grey Toun Golf Books & Collectibles is all about: Bringing the history of the game to life - one book or collectible at a time.

Under the Auld Grey Toun Golf banner, I look forward to serving the game, as well as you: the casual golfer, the avid golfer, the golf historian, the golf collector... any and all who love this great game and have an appreciation for any part of it's long history. 

My wife (Jordan) and I live in Birmingham, Alabama with our three dogs - Murphy, Maggie, and Franklin - whom we adore. When not working and playing with our pups, we are both avid golfers (me playing to a 4 handicap and Jordan playing to a +1 handicap) and we love to travel - especially to golf destinations.​
