Presented here is a beautiful 8" x 10" wire photo of World Golf Hall of Fame member Gary Player at the 1961 US Open at Oakland Hills. Dated June 15, 1961 on the back, this unique photograph has "whiteout" outlining Player and his club - indicating the photo was likely used or meant to be used with him as a cut-out for an image in a newspaper.
Photo has some creasing, one small tear in the upper left corner, and a piece of masking tape on the bottom right corner... all wear that is to be expected from a photo that was clearly used to its fullest extent 65 years ago when it was taken!
